AC Generator Connector and Repair Kit for VF

It's okay to cut off the connector and solder the wires. This connector connects the alternator stator to the rectifier/regulator. I've seen cases where the stator ended up being fried as well.

By the way, Honda makes a repair kit for the connector, part # 31105-ML8-305, 
"AC Generator Repair Kit", that includes new wires, connectors and shrink tube. 
It's actually not a bad little item. I've installed a couple of them now and they've held up well.
