The new World War II Memorial ......
------------

I also took the time to go over the m/c in greater detail and take care
of other problems. I reworked the oil distribution lines to the top of the
cylinder heads which greatly reduced the valve tappet
noise. I added a manual switch to the electric radiator fan
to allow cooler temps while at slow speeds in the heat.
I also repaired a wiring problem I found in the fan motor itself.

No trip to that area on a m/c is worth overlooking Skyline Drive and
the Blue Ridge Parkway! So naturally that was going to be included in
the route home. The back roads of VA are as pretty as anywhere. But
Skyline Drive which runs about 70 miles along a ridge in Shenandoah
Nat'l Park is one of the best! At about 3000' elevation, it was also 10
degrees cooler!
